Our houseboat is the ideal area in starting to explore Amsterdam.

Within walking distance you will find the the Daily Market Dappermarket. Immerse yourself in local produce, as well as fabrics, knick-knacks, clothing, shoes, flowers, fish, cheese and so on. The Amsterdam Zoo 'Artis' as well as the Maritime Museum are within walking distance, too. The Tropenmuseum has many exhibitions, too. 

 

Nieuwmarket district is great for having a drink or dinner. It is close to the Red Light District and Chinatown - easily reached by bike or foot.

These trams will take you anywhere in the city. From the Vondelpark, the Anne Frank House, the famous Noordermarket on Saturday morning, Dam Square, Rembrandtsquare, Waterloosquare and its vintage market , Leidsesquare , the Westerchurch and the museum district, these two tram lines virtually cover all of Amsterdam. And they are just around the corner!

 

Any of these sights are reachable within just 10 minutes!

 

Roam through the 9 streets and the Jordaan area, discover its small boutiques, cafe's, culinaire highlights and low-key bars and pubs.

- Trendy hotspots such as the beer brewery IJBROUWERIJ (the only windmill in Amsterdam!) at the end of the road
